What FixMyPrompt Does

FixMyPrompt is a Chrome extension that rewrites your AI prompts to be clearer and more structured. When you click the fix button, the text in your input field is sent to our server, processed by an AI model, and the improved version is returned to you.

Data We Collect

• Prompt text: When you click "Fix," your prompt is sent to our server for processing. We do not store your prompt text after the response is returned. Prompts are processed in real-time and discarded.
• Account information: If you create an account, we store your email address and subscription status. This data is managed by Supabase (our authentication provider).
• Usage counts: We track how many fixes you've used per week to enforce free-tier limits. For free users without an account, this is tied to an anonymous installation ID. No prompt content is stored.
• Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card details. We only store your Stripe customer ID to manage your subscription.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not read, store, or access your browsing history.
• We do not read content on any page other than your prompt input field.
• We do not track your activity across websites.
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.
• We do not store your prompts or AI responses.

BYOK (Bring Your Own Key)

If you use your own OpenAI API key, your prompts are sent directly from your browser to OpenAI's API. They never pass through our servers. Your API key is stored locally in your browser's extension storage and is never sent to us.

Third-Party Services

• OpenAI: Processes prompt optimization requests. Subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase: Handles authentication and database. Subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• Stripe: Handles payments. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Data Retention

Prompt text is processed in real-time and not stored. Account data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be removed from our systems within 30 days. Anonymous usage records are automatically reset weekly.

Your Rights

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. You can uninstall the extension at any time, which immediately stops all data collection.
